Gun sames are through the roof nationwide. My local ffl has been making a KILLING on sales because his markup is low and he's been unloading anything he can get his hands on. WBP, Zastava, and even PSA are better prospects for the money for the savvy, Saigas, Arsenal SGL's, Veprs, and SAM's are on the radar, as they arent coming back, and they will hold and increase in value, as they have proven already. They run great, but they are garbage in terms of what discerning, well heeled buyers are after, and for the price, they are overpriced and appear to be garbage, and the prices on AK's now have pushed the 'thrifty' right out of the market. The days of cheap AK's are over, and the jig is up as far as wasrs being the go-to 'cheap entry' rifle they have always been simply 'cheap' in terms of fitment and construction. Many are willing to pay a significant premium for a premium weapon, even if its their first. The answer, right now, was always going to be a 'no' anyways.Ī lot of people looking to buy right now have deep pockets and just want a good rifle, pistol, or shotgun most are educated and do their research or ask lots of questions, at least the people i associate with have and do so. I dont need the money and im in it for the long run on selling prices. I didnt offer to sell it either my buddy asked to buy it, and he came up with the price. Not the first time ive said 'no' about selling one, and i bought a shit ton of veprs to sell off later anyways. I turned down a $1700 cash offer from a buddy for a 7.62x39 sporter last week factory walnut stocks and no bullet guide, just 2 sgm 30rd vepr mags.
Anyone left out and wanting a Vepr is either a poor dreamer, or has deep pockets and doesnt give a damn everything AK goes out of stock instantly, and AK's are the new hipster guns, with 5.45x39 being THE caliber now for some idiotic reason.
$1K WAS basically retail plus shipping, pre-covid, pre BLM and before ammo/rifle/pistol 'shortages', RIGHT after the ban. You are underestimating the market and situation right now. These rules are also posted every time you submit a link or self post so don't say you didn't see them. Don't like it, get over it and go somewhere else.
We have to follow ATF laws and those are too muddy for a place like Reddit. No AKs with buffer tubes to meet the 26 inch OAL length. The /u/CarlWinslo9 rule - No firearms are to be posted if they are in the grey area of the law.Comments attempting to disparage the OP and suggesting otherwise will be removed as spam/off-topic discussion This subreddit assumes all firearms posted are legal to own. When in doubt, buy wait for a cheap WASR or an M10, or an RH-10 or a WBP Fox or a ZPAP M70.If you do not do this then you will have the ban hammer come down upon thee.
